“They shall neither hunger nor thirst,
Neither heat nor sun shall strike them;
For He who has mercy on them will lead them,
Even by the springs of water He will guide them.
I will make each of My mountains
And my highways shall be elevated.
Surely these shall come from afar;
Look! Those from the north and the west,
And these from the land of Sinim.”
“My sacred mountain
My intimate valley
Your sacredness I carefully carry
My old tomb filled anew with gold and riches of wisdom and holy perfumes
Now a temple where Your Spirit dwells
Sometimes I forget the preciousness within
Remind me everyday of this adventure renewed
The trials and toil and paining of the roots and branches growing.”
– L.A. MacDonald
God has called us to dwell higher with Him. To lift others higher, to exalt Jesus Christ higher than our circumstances. To go higher with Him means to choose Him, His presence over our circumstances. To worship, to trust and to absorb His word. I most certainly need to go higher with Him in His word. Where do you feel God calling you to go higher?
I hope this finds you in good cheer for CHRISTmas, after such a long tiring road – 2020. At the beginning of COVID, I felt to share my first song over on my Instagram but didn’t feel pressed to share it over here on my blog, as I was in a season of figuring out what God wanted me to do next. I still don’t feel pressed to share it here but I don’t feel the LORD stopping me as I feel it is a free gift for everyone.
I first received the melody for this song at Hillsong Conference 2019. I ran to the bathroom repeating it over and over in my head so I wouldn’t forget and sat on the toilet humming it into my phone (sorry for TMI). Of course, a christian conference is probably the only place you feel okay to hum in a public restroom, so I was glad it was there that the Holy Spirit gave it to me.
The lyrics came the I think after I moved from Melbourne back to the mid north coast, yeah it was. I remember now and during study break I went down to Melbourne and stayed with a friend who has a beautiful piano (I have a keyboard) and she kindly let me play it and I got to record my songs.
Please know, this single recording is a bit rough, I wasn’t planning on sharing this version as it is more a draft in my eyes but the LORD said to share it, so I did. And now I get to share it here with you lovely people!
Keep a look out, more information is coming this week about the meaning behind the title and song + more!
I hope you had a wonderful, joy filled CHRISTmas day! I’m sorry this is a few days late but a plan of mine for 2020 is more blogs, more freuquently. Cooking is such a wonderful therapy the Lord has blessed us with the ability to do and here is some delicious homemade apple crumble (recipe below) and homemade custard (recipe from Paul West! Also below.)
The inspiration for apple crumble is from the beautiful Swedish women overflowing YouTube, well at least my YouTube feed anyway. There is Maria at ‘Northern Heart’, Joanna Jinton, Michelle at ‘Daughter of the Woods’ and ‘Fairyland Cottage’. I love their lifestyle and slow living, moving with the seasons and becoming one with nature. I dream of that life a lot. They inspire me creatively and to push boundaries and try new things. So, I baked my first apple crumble and it was delectable! Also, Paul West from ‘River Cottage Australia’ is a huge inspiration of mine. In his TV series ‘River Cottage Australia’ he lives off the land of our country in the Riverina area and does it beautifully. He is such an amazing cook and farmer and I followed his homemade custard recipe. I never want to go back to store bought custard, after tasting this rich, silky, lightly golden dessert, you’ll wonder how you have lived life for as long as you have without it. As soon as you pour the gold deliciousness over your crunchy, sweet apple crumble you’ll die. Right there. In your chair. And that will be the end of it.
Also, you will see below, I gathered up some native gum nuts and pine nuts and other aussie bush limbs to paint and decoration to dress our house in for Christmas. It was fun, and we did it all with the apple crumble and custard by our sides, slowly seeping in the richness of the dessert and splattering gold, silver, white and other Christmas colours everywhere.
Anyway, I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather and getting ready for a new decade!
P.s. I apologise for the lack of photos! The internet isn’t letting me upload them properly. As soon as it lets me I’ll upload more 🙂

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe it’s one month away from 2020! How has the past two decades (plus 4 years) gone so fast?? And how has this year gone so fast?
The beginning of this year I was studying a Major in Photography in Melbourne, so sure I was going to be in that beautiful city for another year and yet, half way through and I’m back home in NSW studying a Bachelor of Theology. So many things are in the works currently and I don’t even know where to begin. However, I am able to at least write it all down in a list and pretend I know what I’m doing. In the past I’ve always used the term “goals” for new years resolutions but I realised that I never achieve my goals, but I always achieve my plans. So for 2020 I’m calling my “goals” plans to help achieve everything that is set out for the new year.
Social media is a very consuming thing. This month I deactivated my Instagram account for a week and a half and it felt so good. So much happened in my spiritual and emotional life that week that it felt like 3 months and there wasn’t many thoughts about Instagram. The first plan for 2020 is to deactivate for a week each month. Now, the choice of deactivating is because I will be very tempted to go back on if my account is still accessible to everybody else. I have very little self control when it comes to these things, so a hard boundary like deactivating is what I need to grow in that area.
I have deleted my Youtube channel and have decided to upload my short poetic films to IGTV (Instagram) instead. If you’d love to check it out please click on the link below, I’d love to have you there. And please don’t be shy! My account is private but don’t be afraid to send a request :).
Something I have been dreaming of my whole life is being able to sew and design and make my own clothing. As a curvaceous and somewhat tall woman, it is hard to find dresses an appropriate length, pants that actually fit and clothes I like in my price range (unemployed full time student). So, praise the LORD! I met this lovely lady in our area who is preparing sewing classes for 2020 and I am IN! I can’t wait to learn all about it and get started! And the best thing is, I don’t have to worry if I’m going to fail because it’s not a paid course like everything is now days. It would be so nice if “just learning” classes were more available for people in lower economic areas and other areas. It would help form a healthier stronger community, introduce people to trades and skills they would never of been able to gain otherwise and would just be a whole lotta fun!
Another plan of mine, which is a more serious one, is to tackle my health (which I have started this year) so there is no longer a hindrance to my marks in my uni work. At the beginning of this year I got glandular fever three times! And was battling the after affects for months until I got prayer a couple of months ago. This then leads us to the next plan of calorie counting. I have been calorie counting for the past few weeks and it’s actually fun! I’ve slipped a couple of days but nothing over the top. They say to eat 1200 calories a day, for women, in order to lose weight and increase your physical activity. So that is what I am doing.
Travel plans! I’ve lost the ownership of my car because of finances and my brother sold it as it was his before I got it so that was sad but I’m not gonna let it stop me from travelling. Melbourne is still calling me and I’m hoping to visit my Melbourne fam in Jan/Feb 2020 and also a special trip in July. I’ll release more about that as time goes on.
Anyway, there are a few more plans for the future but I don’t want to bore you with myself. Therefore, I will end this blog here.
I will be posting again before Christmas, so until then, God bless and I hope you’re finding yourself in the joyous spirit of Christmas!
If any of you are from Australia you would have heard about the fires all up the Australian coastline of NSW. Last night on the news they stated it was the worst fires in the history of NSW. Here at home we were in the middle of a lot of the fires around our area. Some families lost their houses and others were unable to evacuate their homes due to the fires. There are 80 bush fires burning in NSW as we speak and one person found dead. Multiple people are missing and many were hurt from the blazing flames.
My prayers are for those who have lost a loved one and miraculous healing for those who have been hurt. I also pray for the restorations of peoples homes and livelihoods. I pray that we will all call on Jesus and His Mighty hand to help us and guide us during this time. He is our fortress and our strong tower, if only we believe in Him. I pray for the firefighters who are working non-stop to protect our lives, I pray for their strength to be renewed, that the Lord will keep giving them wisdom and discernment to know how to keep the fires at bay and to put them out. I pray peace over their hearts and minds as they are on the front line and comfort for their families. What amazing men and women of Australia! Thank you Lord for Your protection and your hand over our firefighters and region. Thank you that You are our help and our ultimate comforter and thank you for so much more! In Jesus Name Amen.
My Mum has posted more information about our area if you’d like to have a look, the link is: https://workinacresnothours536804411.wordpress.com/2019/11/08/pray-please/.
Please keep QLD and NSW in your prays as fires continue!
“Though the fig tree should not blossom,
nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
and there be no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer’s;
he makes me tread on my high places.” – Habbakkuk 3:17-19
(the colour in my images below has not been altered, only the light mildly to see properly. This was the colour all yesterday and it was actually a stronger orange than what my camera picked up).
